Wynonna Judd Re-Records ‘Beautiful Star of Bethlehem’

Country music icon Wynonna Judd recently shared the news of re-recording her Christmas hit, “Beautiful Star of Bethlehem,” with husband and producer Cactus Moser, marking 35 years since its original release.

“We recorded it in 1987 for the ‘Christmas Time with The Judds’ album, and I still sing it to this day! Getting to re-record it with Cactus was so special to me,” shared Wynonna.

In addition to this sentimental journey, Wynonna will host NBC’s ‘Christmas at the Opry’ on December 7 at 8/7c, featuring performances from Kelly Clarkson, Chrissy Metz, Mickey Guyton, Trace Adkins, and more. The special will re-air on December 20 at 9/8c.

A five-time Grammy Award winner, Wynonna’s 1992 solo debut solidified her status in American music. Beyond chart-topping hits, she seamlessly blended Appalachian traditionalism with mainstream appeal, earning a place in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Known for her work with The Judds, Wynonna has evolved into a vocal powerhouse, with hits like “No One Else On Earth” and “Tell Me Why” contributing to her global superstar status.

Currently on the ’Back To Wy’ Tour, Wynonna is performing her debut and sophomore solo albums back-to-back, with the next show in Louisville, KY at the Louisville Palace Theatre.
