Shania Twain’s Tour Crew Safe After Accident

In a recent Instagram update, Shania Twain, the iconic country music star, reassured fans about the well-being of her touring crew after a traffic accident earlier this week in Canada. The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, led to the hospitalization of several members of the Queen of Me Tour crew.

Twain, 58, expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming support, stating, “First and foremost, my touring family is safe. Anyone needing medical care is receiving great support.” She took a moment to acknowledge the strength of her crew and the local community, saying, “The local community and every single crew person has been phenomenal, in the face of a very scary scenario.”

The Grammy winner emphasized the importance of cherishing loved ones, concluding with a heartfelt note: “Hug and hold those you love; we are doing the same! ❤️”

The accident occurred due to poor driving conditions caused by inclement weather. Two vehicles from Twain’s tour were involved in the incident as they traveled between Winnipeg and Saskatoon. Fortunately, Twain herself was not on the affected bus or truck.

Maverick Management, Twain’s management company, issued a statement to PEOPLE, saying, “Multiple vehicles encountered dangerous driving conditions due to inclement weather. Members of the production crew who require medical attention have been taken to nearby hospitals.” The statement also expressed gratitude to emergency services teams for their quick response.

The accident took place while Twain was en route from her Tuesday night show in Winnipeg to the SaskTel Center in Saskatoon. Despite the incident, the Saskatoon show proceeded as planned.

Shania Twain’s Queen of Me Tour, which kicked off in April, has taken her across the U.S., Europe, and Canada, supporting her sixth studio album. The tour is set to conclude in Vancouver on November 14, with Twain gearing up for her latest Las Vegas residency, “Come on Over,” in the spring of 2023.

Fans and well-wishers continue to flood social media with messages of support for the touring crew, demonstrating the tight-knit community that exists among Twain’s followers during challenging times.
