Hardy opens up about his musical evolution in the forthcoming short film, “Becoming the Crow.” The film chronicles his shift from a Nashville country songwriter to an artist seamlessly merging country and hard rock.
Inspired by his recent album, “The Mockingbird and the Crow,” the short film aims to spotlight pivotal moments shaping Hardy’s artistic identity. In the trailer, Hardy underlines the album’s role in encapsulating this phase of his life and artistry.
“In five years, when I’ve got three or four records, people looking for insight will be told, ‘Listen to ‘The Mockingbird and the Crow,'” shares Hardy.
The album, featuring hits like “Wait in the Truck” and “Truck Bed,” signifies a turning point in Hardy’s career, transcending the label of a country songwriter.
“Music doesn’t follow rules. I believe in the freedom to explore uncharted territories within one’s craft,” emphasizes Hardy in the “Becoming the Crow” trailer.
The short film releases on January 11 on YouTube, with a Nashville screening on the same day.
