Back to the Red Chair: Reba McEntire Returns to “The Voice”
In addition to her upcoming sitcom, Reba McEntire is making a return to “The Voice” as a Coach for Season 25. After a successful debut in Season 24, McEntire is ready to take on the challenge of being the main country presence on the show following Blake Shelton’s departure.
Acknowledging the pressure of filling Shelton’s shoes, McEntire spoke candidly in a 2023 interview with Newsweek. “It’s a lot of pressure because nobody can replace Blake Shelton. He’s a huge personality and a wonderful person. So I’m just getting in there, trying to have fun, and represent country music as best I can,” she shared.

Sharing insights into her coaching approach, McEntire emphasized the importance of providing constructive feedback to contestants. “Every day that we’re working on The Voice, I’m learning more from them how to let ’em down easy if they don’t get picked up, coach ’em, and if you can give them any advice whatsoever,” she explained.
Season 25 of “The Voice” is set to premiere on Monday, February 26, at 8/7c on NBC.
