Beyoncé has secured her place on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. The chart sees Beyoncé claim the top spot with her debut entry, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” while her second entry, “16 Carriages,” secures the ninth position.
Prior to the success of “Texas Hold ‘Em,” no Black woman or female identified as biracial had previously topped the Hot Country Songs chart. This achievement follows Tracy Chapman’s historic moment as the first Black woman to solely write a Country Airplay No. 1, with Luke Combs’ cover of her 1988 classic “Fast Car” reaching the summit last July.
Both tracks, released on February 11, made notable entries on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, with “Texas Hold ‘Em” landing at No. 2 and “16 Carriages” at No. 38.
Beyoncé Texas Hold ‘Em by the numbers
According to data from Luminate, “Texas Hold ‘Em” garnered 19.2 million official streams, 4.8 million in all-format airplay audience, and sold 39,000 copies in the U.S. through February 15. Meanwhile, “16 Carriages” recorded 10.3 million streams, 90,000 in radio reach, and 14,000 in sales.
The Hot Country Songs success of “Texas Hold ‘Em” marks Beyoncé’s seventh No. 1 on Billboard’s charts as a solo artist. She now holds the top position on the Hot 100, Hot Country Songs, Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, Hot Gospel Songs, Hot Latin Songs, Hot R&B Songs, and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts, making her the only artist to achieve such a feat.
Beyoncé also secures her place in history as the first woman to top both Hot Country Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts since their inception in October 1958, joining a select group of artists that includes Morgan Wallen, Justin Bieber, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Ray Charles.
Is Texas Hold ‘Em playing on the radio?

The track also made its mark on various other charts, starting at No. 38 on the Pop Airplay chart and dominating Country Digital Song Sales and Digital Song Sales charts.
“Texas Hold ‘Em” is the 16th song to open at No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs chart and the first since Zach Bryan’s “I Remember Everything” in September.
