“I wrote this song for every girl who has gone through a similar situation and dreams of wreaking havoc on her ex,” Pearce explains. “The response from the fans following every live performance to this song is huge, so it felt like the perfect choice for my next single.”
Pearce’s was not only the path of hits and immediate successes but a very personal growth chapter, one reflecting on her resilience and radiant on the new record, hummingbird. Co-producing for the first time with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne, hummingbird represents an important milestone taken by Pearce. It’s an ode to strength—an anthem about the joy found after life’s bruises—a fusion of classic country sounds and ever-vivid storytelling that truly makes hummingbird special.
During the recent CMA Fest, she held the hummingbird edition of Carly’s Closet, where fans get to buy items that come directly from her closet, which includes clothing and accessories. It was the biggest edition ever since the event was started last year, as the total doubled and raised a sum of $20,000 for the CMA Foundation.
