Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson‘s collaboration, “Save Me,” has clinched the top spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, marking Jelly Roll’s third No.1 and Wilson’s fourth. The song debuted strongly with 60 first-week adds and has now risen to No.1.
Originally a solo track on Jelly Roll’s 2020 album, Self Medicated, “Save Me” gained traction after a surprise performance at the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards. The re-released version with Lainey Wilson’s vocals has since become a hit, with live renditions on American Idol and other shows.
Co-written by Jelly Roll and David Ray Stevens, “Save Me” explores addiction with raw lyrics. The reimagined version is part of Jelly Roll’s latest album, WHITSITT CHAPEL, released on June 2, 2023.
The song earned a nomination for Musical Event Of The Year at the 57th Annual CMA Awards. Jelly Roll’s first GRAMMY nomination is in the Best Country Duo/Group category, and he’s also up for Best New Artist.
Fresh from his Backroad Baptism Tour, Jelly Roll is set for the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour and various festivals in 2024. Fans eagerly anticipate the GRAMMY Awards, where Jelly Roll could make history.
